State gets Swiss gift
In a small ceremony Monday in the governor’s office, Jean-louis Schrago, American Breeders Service representative in Switzerland, presented Elaine Schreiber, wife of the governor, with a brass cowbell. It is a gift from the Swiss dairy breeders to the State of Wisconsin and the World Dairy Expo which concluded early this month. At 15 pounds, however, it’s much too
heavy for any cow to actually wear. It will be on display in the governor’s office.
