Russian delegation visited RED HOLSTEIN / SIMMENTAL – first cross result

1980:  Russian delegation visited RED HOLSTEIN / SIMMENTAL - first cross results at the Schrago farm in Switzerland On the right: Dr. Y. Legoshin and Dr. L. Stefaniouk from the agriculture Ministry in Moscow of the Soviet Union. On the left: Agnes Schrago, mother of Jean-Louis Schrago. In the middle: Dr.  H. Ernst, director of the Genetic Institute “Pushkin” near St. Petersburg (Russia). Following this visit, a Russian delegation came back to Switzerland in 1984, 1985 and 1986 during the Bulle show.  At this time, Russia bought 150 Red Holstein young bulls to produce semen in Soviet Union especially in Ukraine. At this time, the Bulle show was organized by Victor Jordan and Christof Gerber of Fribourg Switzerland.
